1. Acceptance

By using SherlockFaceAI you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the service. You must be 18 or older to use SherlockFaceAI.

2. How the Service Works

SherlockFaceAI functions as a facial similarity search interface. Your photo is sent to a third-party API which performs visual similarity analysis and returns results from publicly available sources. We do not build or maintain our own face database.

3. Permitted Use

You may only use SherlockFaceAI for lawful purposes, including:

  • Verifying the identity of individuals for personal safety
  • Detecting catfishing or romance scams
  • Personal, non-commercial use

4. Prohibited Use

You must not use SherlockFaceAI to:

  • Harass, stalk, threaten, or intimidate any individual
  • Upload photos of minors under 18
  • Make decisions about employment, housing, credit, or insurance
  • Engage in blackmail, extortion, or any illegal activity
  • Violate any person's reasonable expectation of privacy
  • Create databases of individuals without consent
  • Access via automated bots, scrapers, or scripts

5. Accuracy Disclaimer

We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of search results. Facial similarity searches may return incorrect or irrelevant results. Results are provided “AS IS” without warranty. The presence of a photo in results does not confirm identity. You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on search results.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, code, and branding of SherlockFaceAI is our property. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to access and use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SherlockFaceAI is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on search results. We are not responsible for third-party service conduct or content.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to deny or terminate access to the service for any reason, at any time, without notice.
